Oooohh so long time no talk!

I had been so busy these days, mainly because this event - DKV Prime Time -
An event from my Major, Visual Communication Design.

I'm the coordinator of the 'Event' division
-is that what they called it in english? Well, whatever-
so I had been doing some preparation for the event.

I'm gonna tell you later! *After I finished the reports first, of course..*

In the middle of our 2nd simulation for the seminar, we made this video.

Finally, Harlem Shake! SO MUCH FUN! Hahaha!

3rd Semester VCD Student's - Final Tasks

So.

Yesterday my grades were finally out, and..

Well, it was like, somebody has just slapped me in the face.

I knew I was being lazier every semester, but I never ever thought that my grades will be this low. Two Cs? Like, am I that lazy? Or maybe I'm too focused on the subjects that suits me better, the one with a lot of practical lessons instead of theories. I've never been that good on theoretical subjects, somehow I just need a lot, like, really, lot time to remember some of those shits-ehem-theories.

Well, regrets always come late. But I know this is a real lesson for me, and I'd swore to myself, if I can't bring my grades up next semester, maybe I'd better be going out from college :\

Okay, so I wanted to tell you about my final task from my most favorite subject, Desain Komunikasi Visual 1, or as you know, Visual Communication Design 1, or VCD 1.

The task is about making a brochure or pamphlet for a place. They offer many options, such as Water parks, Museums, Theme park, or Amusement Park, Zoo, Malls, or other entertainment places.

I chose Amusement Park near my home, considered the fact that it's so close from my house so it will be easier for me to do the surveys. The park called - Taman Remaja Surabaya (THR), or maybe in english, Surabaya Teen's Park - so strange :\

Well a week before we've given this task, the lecturers had asked us to re-draw (by hand) a map of that place, and so when the next task, about making its brochure, the map must be inserted inside it.

Me and my friends, so lucky because we had the same place, they also did THR -White and Wulan from Bootsydoopsy- did some survey. Like, take some photos for our brochure information. Long story short, here it is. And let me know about what do you think of them. Critics always are the best teachers to learn.

And also, here is my final project in Computer Graphic subject. The task is about making an infographic about yourself. Google what infographic is! ;) The hardest part is to trace my face into a vector object. I.. had to be very, very patient. Ugh.

Visual Celebration 2012

This is one of the reasons why I couldn't update this blog last month.

FYI, 29th September was the birthday of my major, Visual Communication Design, from Petra Christian University, Surabaya. And for the very-first-time-ever in history, the head major requested a celebration for the birthday. The event called Visual Celebration, or the easier way to call it: VIBRATION!

I was joining the committee as Sponsorship Division. :)

You know what the best part was? Some of my best friends in college were joining the committee too, so it was super fun! Everything you do with your best friends, even if it's the most tired and boring thing, it will feels sooo much better. You think so, right? :)

Visual Celebration event took three days of September month: from Thursday to Saturday, 27th-29th.

We also had so many events! There were Bazaar, Poster Competition, DKV's Got Talents (D'gatels), and our main and closing event, The Celebration: Recall the Magical Moment.

Day 1

Thursday, September 27th, 2012

We officially opened our Events and Bazaar! The Bazaar was going for two days, On 27th and 28th September. And I am so proud of this Bazaar. Why? Because it was our responsibility, Sponsorship Division, to look for companies or shops who want to participate in our Bazaar. If we failed, the bazaar will be failed, too. Thanks God, you lead us through it :) We know it didn't come out as much as we expected, but it was our best efforts!

Day 2

Friday, September 28th, 2012

Bazaar day two, and also the last day of Bazaar. It was also the elimination round of DKV Got Talents (D'gatels)

D'gatels was like the talent variety show that's been popular in television. We do it with our version for VCD students. There were so many talents and they were contending to go to the finals on Day 3rd :)

Oh, me and my bestgirls (Wulan from bootsydoopsy, Bk from bellespell, Ck, White, and Vivi) were having a sleepover at Vivi's apartment this day. We had to stay overnight because we and the other committee were going to decorate the auditorium, the place for our main event for the final day. We were so busy. Like, very busy. I slept by 5 am and had to woke up at 7am.. yeah.

Me and Ck, (we're in the same division, she was the coordinator of sponsorship division) were preparing for our stand. We were going to open a drink booth in front of our auditorium (it's where the top celebration took place), to increase our profit :p

Day 3

Saturday, September 29th, 2012

This is the FINAL and the main event from Vibration! We were very busy, running here and there to make sure everything is prepared well. Me myself were busy selling the drinks!

The main event started on 2pm ad the schedule was so tight! There were the final from D'gatels, Dance performance, and the announcement for the winners of D'gatels and Poster Competition!

After the Top Celebration event is over, we were having a dinner together! Students and lecturers, all gathered here. There was a photobooth too, so you can capture the very sweet moments!

Yes, maybe there were few things that didn't went well, problems keep come one by one, lots of miscommunication, drained energy, even lost hopes and faith..

But we did our best.

We fight and we have done it as one big family of Vibration 2012 :)

First Weeks of 3rd Semester

Hi hi everyonee ;)

Today is saturday! *dancing* Last two weeks is my first college days, but yeah, it went well. Kinda awkward though, because some of the lecturers didn't show up on their first class. No, that's very awkward.. And me and my friends end up going to someplace and chit-chat-ing allll the wayyy :p We have like, tons of new hot gossips :p Don't blame us, we're girls.

Well, not much to say, I'm going to write a post about my hubby birthday soon. I'm editing the photos right now ;) :p
